I'd love some recommendations for feb half term, we went to rome last feb which was a balmy 16 degrees snd super easy to get around on public transport.
I'm looking for a similar city break for 3 or 4 days - a city with direct flights from a London airport and that won't be really cold. I've enjoyed Eastern Europe breaks before but fear it will be too cold.
My daughter likes eating out, kids attractions like fun fairs ,theatre - does not like animals.
We've visited euro Disney and Efteling for the rides. So thinking more of a city break .
Suggestions that have been bearable temperatures in February very welcome please!

Seville or Malaga?

Barcelona! Will be around 14/15 in February.

If you bear the cold, Copenhagen is wonderful - but will be cold!

That temperature suggestion for Barcelona sounds good - I've been before and really loved the city

Copenhagen and specifically the Tivoli funfair is amazing but cold!
It’s a perfect city to visit with a child- felt very safe and easy to get around.

Thanks. I will look at Copenhagen

Barcelona is great for that age. Lots of things to do, and there's the Tibidabo theme park.

We are going to Seville with 10 yr old. Hoping for some sunshine to warm my aging bones 😄

I second Malaga and perhaps staying feungirola way.

The train along the coast is quick, cheap and easy. Malaga has loads to offer and towards the beachside resort there's nice shopping centres, feungirola zoo etc.

Oh sorry. EAL used you said she doesn't like animals 🤦‍♀️

Still recommend that area though!

A tiny bit far but Marrakech is gorgeous! Up to 20c some days. Athens is also a nice bet.

Madrid is great, but in February it will be cold. Possibly even snow...

newoldfluff · 02/01/2024 09:17

Bath? Edinburgh?

DominiqueBernard · 02/01/2024 09:24

Seville and you could have a day out on the train to Córdoba. Seville is cheap and will be warm, and there's lots to see. Great food.

Seconding Marrakech!

Cadiz has carnival that week which will be heaving but fun if you can catch the main fancy dress days

Some wonderful uk cities- Edinburgh, York (by train) with lots of attractions.
I enjoyed Dublin, Amsterdam and Paris around that age!
New York was awesome when I was a little older.
Another option is Nice and the little towns between there and Cannes- great little train along the coast and lots to see and eat!

Copenhagen is great but Tivoli doesn't open until March (been caught out by this before!)
