watersports/activity holiday for teens like Trek Adventures

Last year we went to Kefalonia with Trek Adventures as recommended on here so I am very grateful as it was perfect as mainly suited to teens as no kids club/child care. Now looking for something similar for this year. Not Neilson/Mark Warner size or prices. We liked being in small local run hotel with great restaurant and unlimited watersports. Last year was sailing/windsurfing but we would consider all activities. It is for 5 in August at a cheaper price than Mark Warner type and not big all inclusive type hotels. Somewhere with guaranteed weather after some freezing watersports weeks in UK. Thank you

Here’s a list I made of other small watersports based operations, mostly in Greece - I haven’t been to any (yet) my DC are a bit too young I think but have noted these for future:

Club Vass
Surf Hotel Vassiliki
Minorca Sailing
Nikiana Beach Club
Kefalos Beach Club
Wildwind
Ocean Elements (wasn’t running 2023, not sure about 2024)

A few do have kids clubs eg Nikiana but I think they are very heavily teens/adults despite this

There’s also varous surf/watersports focused hotels in Portugal - eg Noah Surf Hotel and Maverick

Thank you very much, much appreciated. Has anyone been to any of these especially Portugal? Ideally would be nice to try somewhere other than Greece.

@trekwindsurf the sea in Portugal is always freezing (Atlantic) 🥶

Does it have to be watersports? We had an amazing activity in the French Alps last year with Alpine Elements

Seconding the Alps, we’ve just been in Morzine and there’s absolutely loads to do for active kids and teens. Weather not guaranteed but definitely warmer than UK!

I’ve also seen quite a few teen-aimed activity holidays based in Croatia- mainly watersports but also zip lines, canyoning etc.

@Muchtoomuchtodo were you in Morzine or Tignes? Any feedback on Alpine Elements much appreciated, we are considering them for next year…

We were in a catered chalet in Morzine with a group of friends.

Some of us drove out, some flew and used the transfer service.

Our chalet was excellent and the staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. They were whizzes in the kitchen, always happy to tweak the menu to suit different palettes.

The included activities and especially having the multi passes made the holiday really good value and we loved trying new things. We were hoping for a good week but we had the most fabulous time, even our kids who were 15 and 17 loved it! I would highly recommend going and I think they’ve got early booking discounts on at the moment!
