Amazing water parks attached to a hotel

Please any recommendations for a big water park attached to a hotel?

Son is ASD so advantage if everything is on site to make it a fab holiday. Happy to stay within hotel grounds for the full holiday 👍

Looking for a large water slides to cater for children 9 yrs upwards. Lots of big / massive slides not like 5/6 / toddler pirate ships etc.

Hate hotel villages been to lots of the years - far too noisy / crazy for ASD children with the dining halls so never to return to those 😂

Love Atlantis Dubai - fantastic water slides.

Also, once you get off the plane not too long a drive at the other side.

Please let me know where you love I'd really appreciate it 😍 I need to book some summer sun ☀️

It needs to be a hotel with food provided. No villas as it's my rest week too as I cook all year 😂

Happy holidays and I really appreciate any suggestions thank you x

Not been myself but from my time working in the travel industry can highly recommend the waterpark at Port Aventura in Tarragona, about 1 hour from Barcelona. It was a massive hit with the kids and there's also a theme park if you get bored of the waterpark. The Port Aventura hotels do half or full board and you can also get lunch icluded in the actual parks.

Aqua Fantasy in Turkey

Aqua Fantasy in Turkey

Just came on to say this. Have been twice when DC were younger.

If you loved the Atlantis, have a look at Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi.

Not the same as others mentioned but Duinrell in Holland is ace. Get a lodge - there's a waterpark and a small theme park attached.

Neverland in Hurghada

Siam Park is the best in Europe imo, very central so although not on site lots of hotels nearby. Some of which have unlimited acceas/free bus to the resort.

Abouttimemum · 01/01/2024 17:08

Jet2 do Siam Park in Tenerife as part of their experience more packages (includes unlimited entry). It’s the best waterpark I’ve been to outside of America.

There’s also a good one at Salou as part of the Port Aventura theme park (which is also great).

Stella Palace in Crete is lovely , very good water park . Maybe not as large as ones you would be looking for.

The waterpark in Duinrell is the best I have been to ( indoor ).

The Premium Plus accomodation is lovely , some even have sauna .

Rutlantica in Germany is an excellent indoor water park. I don't think there's much accommodation on site, but it's reasonably close to the black forest so plenty nearby.

Lalundia in several sites across Denmark all indoor and centre-parcs-style accommodation.

Stella Palace in Crete is fantastic. Really lovely hotel with a big water park.
Around five al La Carte restaurants and a big buffet. No need to leave the site. Around 20 mins from the airport in a private transfer.

Another vote for Port Aventura. We went about 6-7 years ago and it was amazing. We booked through TUI and got entry to the theme park and water park, and got some fast passes and other bits thrown in for free.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations! I'd been searching for hours but mumsnet has defo won 🤩 Lots look excellent! Once we get back home tomorrow going to search into the finer details of all the ones recommended and I will defo let you know where we pick this summer! Some on initial inspection look fab / super amazing! However with my ASD child (you couldn't tell 80% of the time) though taxis / buses don't work and not prepared to risk it when he needs to leave it needs to be a super quick exit from people and back into the safe zone of his room in less than 15 mins max so that's why needing water park attached to a hotel.

I really appreciate the comments thank you and hope you all have a fantastic 2024 🤩

I'll keep you posted and any more recommendations please let me know 👍

Thank you x

Another vote for Aqua Fantasy, we loved it.

anothernamechangeagainsndagain · 01/01/2024 21:01

We went to a hotel on Ibiza with one attached and unlimited access, had porter sports too - dp fitted so your son will!

Barleysugar86 · 01/01/2024 21:01

Land of Legends in Turkey. Huge waterpark on site, small theme park, and shopping village, as well as lots of kid focused things inside the hotel itself.

AllTheWeatherAllTheTime · 01/01/2024 21:08

Magaluf is surprisingly good for this and relatively cheap. We stayed at Katmandu Park earlier this year, and it's exactly as you describe, hotel on site and you can be back in the room in five minutes flat or two if wet. There are some good adult slides, crazy golf and a buffet every night so he can choose what he likes, and quieter tables outside under cover away from the din. There seem to be bigger slides etc at Twisted Water Park and Western Water Park a few minutes away too, but haven't stayed there.

Barut Lara in Antalya

LiquoriceAllsort2 · 02/01/2024 02:17

Aquashow hotel and waterpark on the Algarve in Portugal. Great hotel and only 100 yards from park entrance.
The hotel band gets you entrance to the waterpark without having to join the main queue.

Favouritefruits · 02/01/2024 19:05

Another vote for Portaventure if you stayed in La Pineda a five min drive away it’s much cheaper, better hotels and there’s another water park, my youngest son loves portaventure Ferrari land! If your sons into cars it’s a must!

Favouritefruits · 02/01/2024 19:09

Oh I forgot about Lakandia billund easily the best indoor water park I’ve ever been too! The self catering lodges are super and on site, literally across the road from Legoland! We went in August it wasn’t overly busy and the flights were £14.99 each!!
