If you were to pick a holiday to somewhere where would you go.....
my wish list...

1. not long haul
2. swim up room
3. not out in the sticks
4. separate sleeping area for child
5. all inclusive
6. budget 6k (2nd week in June) for 10/14 days😊

In the past I would have said a suite at Protor Biomar Sa Como Mallorca or possibly Protur Sa Como Playa. However the five star Biomar was taken over by TUI so not sure what like now. Group of Protur hotels on complex with superb facilities for young kids. ( On no account go for Protur Safari park unless you like tattoos and heavy daytime drinking crowd).
The Barcelo chain also often do two room family rooms.

Kos, blue lagoon village, swim up two bed family room with sea view. The suite was the biggest and best I’ve stayed in. Only box it doesn’t tick is it is a bit on its own but to be honest there was so much there it didn’t matter. Kos is a small island with lots a short taxi ride away if you did want to get off resort.

@Adropofink i had seen this one. It was the remoteness that put me of but the hotel looked beautiful 😍

Alaska Cruise. Does the sea count as a swim up room?

We loved it there. First holiday after covid and didn’t feel the need to go anywhere. Ate dinner in at least 4 different restaurants. The fresh crepes during the day were amazing. Great water park which is actually a 10
min walk from the main pools. It’s quite spread out and village like hence the name I guess. I would definitely go again (if I could afford that expensive room again!)

@Adropofink i will have a look at it again. My 6k doesn't seem to go far.....holidays are so expensive this year!!!

Left field suggestion. Cyprus ( 5 hour flight - not too bad?). Go for Paphos end. We always stayed at Annas Apartments in Kissonerga Village. Very clean family owned accommodation ( lovely lovely Cypriot owners with English wives). Not a resort so no swim up etc but safe clean lovely people. Definitely need a car - explore real Cyprus.

Almost anything that involves messing about on boats that my DH is up to nowadays. Not sure what would fit the bill though.
