Alternatives to a family holiday in Dubai with young children

Hi all,

I have DD who is 2.
We love Dubai and usually stay at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel or Atlantis as there is lots to do to entertain DD - on-site aquarium, water park - as well as being incredibly child friendly. We also went to Sani for the first time earlier this year and loved it!

Can anyone recommend anywhere else similar to this please? Looking for big resorts (either half board or AI) that are luxurious with great service and family friendly. Budget-wise, I’m open to anything and don’t mind long haul flights.

Have a look at Ikos resorts , big price tag but on par with Dubai for service and luxury

Definitely Ikos resorts. Also consider Tui Sensatori resorts in Turkey. I know people will think that the Ikos ones are far superior to the Sensatori ones but honestly they’re all lovely with lots of things to do etc.

Try Abu Dhabi instead, loads to do.

Another vote for Ikos. We went with our 11 month old in June and have booked again for 2024.

I'd second Abu Dhabi. Much more of a chilled out vibe but still with the amazing service and luxury of the UAE. There are waterparks, Ferrari world, Warner Studios, Seaworld, Le Louvre, mangroves, desert, much to do with kids.

Third vote for Abu Dhabi, so much more chilled than Dubai and plenty to do. We did Atlantis a few times but found it far too busy the last time we were there, Try the Hilton Yas Island or Warner Bros hotel. You will get access to Yas Waterwolrd, Warner Bros theme park, Seaworld and Farrari World with your stay and it’s great for kids. The Warner Bros hotel has all the parks within walking distance accept Ferrari land and Seaworld.
