Where's nice in Gran Canaria?

Looking to go away for a big b'day in Jan '25. Gran Canaria is apparently the warmest of the Canary islands at that time of year. Any ideas for a nice resort? Thinking somewhere akin to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. We would be 2 adults and 3 teens. Somewhere with nice restaurants and shops to look round as well as a beach. Google throws up San Agustin & Puerto Morgan as possible contenders. TIA.

Puerto Mogan is lovely, ive been a couple.of times now and will likely be going back next year as well.

It is pretty quiet though, might not be much around to entertain teens

Hi op we are going to Meloneras early February, went last February too. Its lovely but would probably say not for teens. While we were there we walked into Maspalomas which was a bit livelier and from what I've heard Playa de Ingles is the most lively area but didn't go there so can't comment. Hope you find something to suit, have a great time!
