Cockroaches

Following on from the thread about leaving the hotel in a snit because the family room only had a shower, not a bath…

What would you do if you were on holiday (in a major city, in a ‘first world’ country), and found cockroaches in your hotel room?

Full disclosure - I screamed and immediately changed hotels. The hotel manager had offered a room change but I turned it down.

Happened to us several times in Tunisia and Tenerife. In all cases, reported to reception and they sprayed the floors with insecticide. Worked in Tenerife, but they must be tougher in Tunisia. We got used to them by the end if the fortnight. This is just one of several reasons that we have never been back to Tunisia
