La Sirene, Argeles without a car

I am looking to book a holiday near Argeles-sur-Mer next summer but we won’t be driving. I understand there used to be a road train that took you into town from La Sirene campsite, but my research (tripadvisor!) looks like this is no longer the case. Did anyone stay there summer 2023 and know if we’d be able to get into the town easily. Or can anyone recommend other lively campsites in the area?

We were there in summer 2023. The road train was running but I wouldn’t have like to rely on it as it’s not that frequent, very slow and can be very busy. The on-site supermarket is better than most so you don’t necessarily need a car for shopping but if you want to go into town/waterpark/beach then a car makes things much easier. The fairground is easily walkable.

The train was running in summer 2023 so hopefully should be back next year. La Chappellle is more central though

Thanks for your replies. Maybe tricky. Now thinking about Les Prairies de la Mer in Port Grimaud. Super pricey though!!

There is another Eurocamp site higher up the road, can't think of name, but slightly cheaper and you can walk down and through prairies to beach

Depending on age of children ( mine were around 10) we hired bikes from La Sirene and cycled the twenty minutes to Argeles . Beach was closer. Though waterpark is so great they never wanted to leave it.

La Carabasse and Club Farret in Vias are both in town with everything within easy walking distance. Beach and big fun fair too.
