Haven Holidays - reviews and recommendations

I’m looking for a UK based holiday next year on a budget. I’ve seen Haven have some pretty cheap weeks in June time with access to swimming pools, play areas, extra activities, etc. We have two DDs 9 and 3 and are due a DS at the beginning of April. We might go with friends who have two DDs 3 and 2 as well.

Anyone been to Haven recently who can give a review? Any parks that people would recommend? We’re in the South West and wouldn’t want to drive too far (more than 2-3 hours) with a baby ideally.

We stayed at Haggerston Castle and I was preparing for it to be really grubby based on what people had said but it was really nice! Obviously not luxury with the price but clean comfy caravan, lots of greenery, etc. Lovely big lake in the middle.

I've been to loads of them - Haggerston Castle, Hafan y Mor, Primrose Valley, Lydstep Beach, Perran Sands, Seton Sands. All nice, but pay extra for a silver grade caravan, then you will get some outside space and decking, and won't be as close to the centre and noise. Only one I wouldn't recommend is Blue Dolphin, just didn't like it. I think the caravan wasn't as nice as I was expecting.

We do a Haven every year and the kids love it (3,4 & 5). Haggerston Castle we really enjoyed and have been back twice, Primrose Valley is good for links to Scarborough. Also we did Marton Mere in October so we could do Blackpool illuminations - the site itself is quite small. Best one has been Lakeland

We loved Lydstep Beach and its much livelier neighbour Kiln Park. Tenby is lovely and the area around it - great for younger kids. DD is a huge fan of Devon Cliffs though, and takes her DC there twice a year, they love it and its such a huge site that you don't really need to go far from it.

We tried Parkdean at Pendine Sands and omg what an absolute dump. We left on the 2nd night of a week stay, I've never been anywhere so rough.

I took my DC to Haven from babies right up to they left home at 18. They're mid 20s now and still go!

My DSis and her family stayed at one a couple of months ago and I joined them during the evening. I still loved it! They did too, also have gone for years.

I've never had disappointing accommodation and the facilities have always been great. I've been to loads across the whole South of England.
