Scotland or borders weekend break with toddler

We have a sixteen month old who is non stop and we're both pretty burnt out. Looking for somewhere within a couple of hours of Edinburgh where we can go on a long weekend and just relax

We used to love doing the Arrochar Alps but don't think he'd be happy in baby carrier that long and don't want to do them in winter anyway. We'd like some outdoorsy stuff though

I have COVID so fantasising and maybe booking soon

I've not been, but people rave about the kids facilities at Crieff Hydro. Plus you're in Perthshire there for nice walks

Ah... apparently the kids club doesn't have under twos so I think that's sadly maybe a no. We don't want to put him there the whole time but a couple of hours a day might be nice if he's safe and entertained

The only places I can think of with a crèche are Gleneagles and Cameron House.
