Mexico Honeymoon

Thinking of heading to Mexico (Cancun / Riveria Maya) for our honeymoon. Is mid to late November a good time to go? We get married in the summer but I’m worried about going then as it’s hurricane season, so hoping by November it’s the tail end of it. Has anyone been at this time?

Would also love any hotel recommendations! Also clueless on how much we should expect to pay for an all inclusive (2 weeks including flights)? It's been years since I did all inclusive!

Thank you

I went mid-late November for a couple of weeks to Playa del Carmen. There was one day of torrential rain, other than that the weather was great! We booked flights and an apartment separately so can’t help with hotels but i’m sure others can.

We had our honeymoon in Mexico (not in November though) and stayed at the majestic elegance in Costa Majures, which was lovely. It cost about £4k for the hotel for 10 nights plus flights for which we used points. One thing to bear in mind is if you want to ttc or might be pregnant is that Zika is a concern in Mexico.

We go every year to the Sun Palace, it’s adults only and everything is 5* we love it for a quick 7-10 days in the sun to relax. We normally book a concierge room although have been upgraded twice to the Presidential Suites. A lot of people on honeymoon are often upgraded.

Twice visited Playa Del Carmen and loved it. Once November and it was dry, 2nd time January and it we had a couple of wet days. Always windy but nice in that heat. Stayed Elorado Royale would recommend upgrading to casitas if the budget allows as it’s much nicer. Casitas is about £3k per person all inclusive. It’s a gourmet all incl and the food is wonderful.
