Flights to Sardinia or Corsica

Hi, I'm looking for somewhere warm but not too far away for our first holiday abroad as a family of four in May.
We've not been to Sardinia or Corsica but I've been looking at flights and I can't see any direct from London.

Are there any direct flights? Maybe through a package holiday company? Or do you always have to transfer ... in which case It think we will leave till the kids are a little bit older.

Easyjet fly direct from Gatwick to both Olbia and Cagliari and from Luton to Olbia. They also fly direct from Gatwick to Bastia.

The most besutiful beach I have ever been to was in Sardinia! Word of warning though the sea was absolutely FREEZING and I was there a month later in June. There were also lots of jellyfish and i got stung badly. This was on the North West coast.

Weather can be unpredictable in May in Sardinia. We’ve had good (mid 20s) and terrible ( four days of torrential rain).

Fly to Oblia from Bristol or Gatwick.
