Looking for ideas of where would be a good location in Sicily for a family of 4 - the two kids! Will be 20 years old
requirements are coastal and walking distance to bars / restaurants and beach as prefer not to have a car as looking for just 1 week and will rent a house. Will be flying from london. Any Sicily experts out there !

I adored Syracuse. Lots of history and the town is beautiful.

Taormina gets a lot of good reviews but I have never been there. Catania as a town is not very nice except for the market.

Oh and a trip up Etna is absolutely worth it.

Taormina is great and very walkable. Would 100 percent recommend trip to Etna and also a boat trip. We booked both with Mrexcursions and they were excellent.

Taormina and Ortigia (Siracusa) are both gorgeous) and are wonderful for wandering around / food and drinks etc. We did a boat trip from Ortigia and a trip the archaeological sites. From Taormina we did the Godfather Tour and a bus trip to Castelmolo (and the Penis Bar) at the very top of the hill. Neither are right on the beach though. You could stay in Giardini Naxos or Letojanni for the beach and get bus or cable car up to town. I am looking at Cefalu for 2024 - which does have a lovely beach.

Miss Ambrosia Cefalu is really lovely, a medieval town full of little streets and restaurants. The beach is great. I hope you enjoy it.
