Help with where to go?

Myself and DD (11) are looking to go away for a week in August, close to the beach, plenty to do close by. Everything seems to be soo soo expensive when I've been searching. Been looking at Balearics, Greece, Croatia. Can anyone recommend a nice safe location / hotel. If possible budget is around £1500 but can stretch if needed. I know that's not a lot but wondered if anyone had any gems / sale info to share.

Are you looking for self catering or all inclusive? Could you look at Airbnb or a Eurocamp type holiday instead of a hotel? The last week of August is usually cheaper if you can go then.
