Planning a trip this summer - I know it's out of season but that's the only time we can go.
Going to Ekephant Hills gif 3 nights and now can't decide between Phuket or Khao Lak. Any advice or infuriation will be gratefully received! I have read quite a few conflicting reports online, some saying they are very similar, others saying they are chalk and cheese!

Going with my friend so we want a bit of life but not in your face party!

We haven’t been yet so can’t give any proper recommendations yet but are booked and going very soon - we are going to Elephant Hills to their new camp out of Chiang Mai, after few days in Bangkok, and then Khao Lak. Phuket didn’t really appeal. Khao Lak has various areas so can pick and choose whether to be closer to restaurants/bars or further out etc.

Oh I didn't realise they had a new camp. I am more in the Khao Lak camp as Phuket itself seems a bit full on from what I am reading! Definitely want to be near restaurants and bars but not full on tourist central!
