Lanzarote/Tenerife hotel without cats

Looking for recommendations please. I am allergic to cats and have a child with additional needs who is very scared of them. I know everywhere in the world has cats around, including street we live on!! But I mean hotels that don't have 'resident cats' that live on site, are fed onsite etc every hotel I have been recommended, there are cats mentioned in reviews 🙈 thanks for reading.

They're pretty much a fixture. Places where I've been that don't have them - Balearics, France. Don't even consider Greek islands or Croatia.

All the hotels I’ve stayed in in the canaries have “cat areas” in the hotel. This actually meant the cats generally stayed there in the shade by the food so less were wondering around.

I went to Roca Navaria this summer no cats. Didn’t know they were a thing. Just outside of Costa Adeje. First time in Tenerife.

Avoid Cyprus.

I've never come across this and we have stayed in the Canaries quite often.
No sign of cats at the Costa Adeje Gran in Tenerife or Seaside Los Jameos in Lanzarote.

I didn't see any at GF Gran Costa Adeje - the hotel is all accessed through the front and then you have to get a lift to the pool area so there's no way the cats can get access

Sorry but saw cats on Costa Adeje recently so it's not a guarantee, but no feeding area at Bahia sunlight and signs saying do not feed the cats or birds. Only place I saw cats were by the infinity pool

I think that you want to go somewhere which is essentially gated as that prevents strays getting in in the first place.
We've been to Princess Yaiza, Residence Seaside Los Jameos and GF Victoria and I don't recall seeing cats at any of them. We went to the beach and out for meals on all of these holidays and I don't recall cats being around the resorts particularly either ... but no one in my family is allergic, scared of cats or "cat people" so we wouldn't necessarily have noticed cats in the street unless it was overrun

Just back from Costa teguise. We stayed at mansion nazerat. No resident cats. A few wondering the resort but none in hotel.

We go to the Radisson Blu in Mogan, Gran Canaria (if that's an option)- have only seen one cat in the vicinity of the hotel which lived under a tree. Definitely no cats in the hotel.

Im scared of cats and it can be an absolute nightmare. 100% don't go to corfu!!

I have been to Tenerife about 10 times in the last 20 years and never noticed a cat in the hotel. I like cats though so have I just been oblivious?

We stayed at the Cleopatra Palace in Playa De Las Americas and didn’t notice any cats there.

Yes I've been about the same number of times and never seen any cats. I like cats too so I would have noticed.

Have stayed at iberostar lanzarote park several times and never seen any cats!

I stayed at Iberostar Anthelia, in Costa Adeje, Tenerife in September. There were no cats. It was a really nice hotel too.
