Would you transfer flights in the UAE?

We want to travel to Asia and it seems many flights change in the UAE. DH is uneasy about transferring there. Would you do it?

Personally, I think your husband is being rather silly about it. It’s no problem whatsoever to transfer in either Dubai or Doha, we’ve done it many times, and both Emirates and Quatar Airways are fine, the only problem would be if you are carrying particular prescription drugs that are banned there - you’d need to check that before you travel.

Qatar is the only place I wouldn't change. I have flown with most of the other middle eastern airlines and never had a problem. They do check medication very thoroughly though, so read the rules and regulations carefully.

We always travel with Emirates as they are an excellent airline and have therefore changed aeroplanes in Dubai. What is the problem? It is an efficient, well-run airport and, frankly, far superior to Stansted, which is where we flew from for the first and last time in September.

Doha is a super airport and Qatar airlines is my favourite airline. Given that your alternative is China, I am not entirely sure what the problem is!

No, absolutely not. My medication is illegal there and travelling without it isn't an option. I'm also a lesbian with a wife and neither of us would go where it's illegal for us to simply exist.

No way and just not only for the morals. It is a gamble if something goes wrong. Each to their own but not for me. I am more preoccupied with the amount of things they are buying in the country I live. Not just property but business as well. Even airports.
