Best place for weekend away in January

Got 3 nights, 2 adults and torn between a bit of winter sun or a city break, been to Amsterdam and Berlin recently so not there but where else would you recommend

Rome, might be a few degrees warmer.

Budapest is not that awsome. It’s perfectly pleasant but it’s not Paris or Florence! I might try Athens. Paris for great museums. Seville for lots of reasons. Or Cairo if you can travel further.

Porto or Lisbon

Reykjavik if the volcano has calmed down. Easy to get to and a great place to spend a few days. The Northern Lights are stunning.

Assuming you are UK based another place that is not on most people’s list is the Faroe Islands. Close to the UK but the scenery is incredible. I’d argue it is the best hidden gem in Europe.

Seville!

What dates? There's a big street festival in Palma, Mallorca on 19th Jan.

There are 5 or 6 stages all over the city with various genres of music, a huge bonfire (that gets lit by a dragon) and communal bbqs all over the place (just bring your own meat)

You can explore the city during the day, plenty to see and do. Or get a hire car and explore the whole island.
