First night away from 2 year old ds. Would like a romantic evening with lovely meal, a few drinks?

When are you going? We are staying the May Bank holiday weekend (23-25th) as we are going to a wedding and the reception is in Worfield Village hall so very near. If you're going before then let me know how it was.

Will do - we're staying for one night the week after next. My parents live near(ish) by, so will ease my jitters at leaving non-sleeping ds for the first time!

Just spotted this thread - my parents live in Telford so we often do this. Have been to the restaurant at the Old Vicarage and it was fabulous!! (disclaimer - 2 years ago!!)

If this is successful and you do it again in the future, you might be happy to go further afield. I can recommend Ludlow and we always have great fun in Birmingham. In January we went to Chester which was also lovely.

Enjoy yourselves - your ds will have a great time with doting GPs and you will come back all smiley and refreshed

Oh and only just saw the date of the thread !!! It was ages ago!
