Summer holiday ideas please

Looking for ideas for a summer holiday with older teens, budget for 4 is 5k, thanks to exam years we can go from the end of June.

Feel like we have grown out of all inclusive hotels.

Would like to stay somewhere where we can easily walk to restaurants and have a few things to do and see (happy to hire car or use public transport) but would like a few days to relax by a pool.

We always go to Protaras, Cyprus, beautiful beach and loads to see and do

I’d have a look around Barcelona. There’s loads to see and do in the city but it’s right on the coast so there’s beaches nearby too.

French Atlantic coast? Sightseeing and outdoor activities?

We plan a week in Berlin and then a week near Munich next year.

Train travel around Scandinavia?

We stayed at a beautiful finca in Majorca for a week this summer. It was in the hills so very quiet and gorgeous views from the swimming pool. We hired a car and visited a different beach for different activities every day. My teen/tween DC loved it.

Oh gosh so many options!

Athens and a greek island (or island hopping depending on how long you have)
Rome, Pompeii, Amalfi coast
Sicily or Crete - both have interesting sights but also beach time, can see a fair bit with a hire car
Dubrovnik and island(s)
Slovenia (lots of active stuff to do for teens)

These would be my top choices if I could go in June and my dc were a bit older.
