Can anyone recommend one? We have been to a few before but hoping someone can suggest places!

We loved Fiji and the outer islands. Found Mauritius too built up/sealife dead. Maldives looks great but not sure a resort is for us. Caribbean is again too populated, but maybe we should try some different islands.

Seychelles? French Polynesia? Cook Islands?

Have you looked at the Philippines? I can't remember exactly which islands I visited (I was there for a few weeks and did some considerable island hopping!) but there are crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, amazing sealife etc in abundance and because there are so many islands you can choose how busy/built up you want - I remember a couple which were largely uninhabited with only one or two small accommodation options. Probably my favourite holiday ever!

Another vote for the Philippines. Boracay is now too touristy, but Saud Beach, Pugupud would be a good choice.

Perhentian islands?

Seychelles out islands; North Island, Desroches or Six Senses with a hefty budget

PSV, Palm Island or Bequia in Grenadines

BVIs, Guana Island or Necker if unlimited funds

Out Islands in Bahamas

Rodrigues in Indian Ocean

Maldives, but pick carefully for islands with a good reef

Lord Howe Island. No 1 on my bucket list!

Zanzibar, utterly perfect

We just got back from the Seychelles, it was wonderful. Although I would avoid Mahé the main island which is a bit more developed.

La Digue in the Seychelles.

I also love St Barths in the off season (May time before the rains come in). The island is mainly villa accommodation, with a few swanky hotels. The beaches are stunning and virtually empty. In a few towns there’s nightlife in the form of bars and restaurants but most of the island feels very sleepy. AVOID like the plague from Dec to Apr though, and it’s very French. No rum and reggae.
