Just wondered what the weather was like at the moment?
Would I get away with low-ish factor (8) am pale skinned and blonde but would like a bit of a tan.

TIA

me!! I live here!

Weather cool but sunny! If you are in the sun quite warm but generally cool. Low chance of sunburn but March is the wettest month. Some great storms!!!

mosschops30 · 14/03/2008 20:08

oh dont say that mcdreamy. Will it be warm enough to sit by the pool and read? Most of the sites say 19-20 degrees but you never know how accurate they are best to get it from one who knows

Right now? Not every day! Today was warm this morning but very windy this afternoon. Many days are like this. BUt week by week it's getting better. When are you coming out and where are you coming to?

mosschops30 · 14/03/2008 20:27

We are coming out next thursday to paphos. There had better be no storms when my plane is landing

I think you will have a pleasant week but don't expect to go home with a tan!! Bring a light coat and a couple of layers for first thing in the morning and the evening.

Changeable weather at the moment, this week esp!! Pahos is nice tough and a welcome break from the grey of the UK. Most days are blue sky and sunny.

mosschops30 · 14/03/2008 20:36

oh i was hoping for a few freckles. But at least I'll lose that grey stress face I have at the moment
Am bringing a coat and cardi's for evenings but dont plan on venturing out much

Thanks for all your help

Just got back from the beach Mosschops, even managed a quick paddle!! It's a lovely sunny warm day today, think the weather forecast is pretty much the same for the rest of the week.......but still cool in the evening and at night so bring layers

mosschops30 · 16/03/2008 13:45

Yep McDreamys right about the weather here in Cyprus at the moment. Last week I sat on our shaded veranda reading and noticed at the end of the day I had burned on my shoulders. DH did a 10K run in Paphos last week and got bunrt too. I would say that even if its not that warm to go in a bikini- shorts etc are fine. Take care and have a lovely holiday

mosschops30 · 18/03/2008 14:22

thank you very much i cant wait now. Do you think a factor 8 would be ok for me (blonde and pale) for our summer hols in 30 degress plus I would normally wear 20-15.

TIA

21 degrees tomorrow!!! Lovely day again today.

I haven't been wearing sunscreen yet tbh but when you live out here you don't tend to lie around in it as much as when you holiday. I think if I was going to be on the beach "sunbathing" I would put on an 8-12 at the moment.

Be careful though, there is quite a breeze somedays so it can feel cooler, if you have your shoulders uncovered and you are walking around in the sun use sun protection - I'm still wearing a light fleece when I go out but I've been here a few years now so have become acclimatised, you won't get me sunbathing for a good few weeks yet

McDreamy · 18/03/2008 20:07

I am also blonde and pale
