Mexico in April with 3 under 5?

Thinking of doing Mexico in April with DTs 4.5 and youngest 18 months.

I'm thinking it will be lovely, proper sunshine, beautiful beach with powdery sand that you don't mind if it gets anywhere, kids clubs options, buffet food for easy meals, kids pools etc.

It should be about 25 average but youngest can nap through the worst of it and just have a few hours in the shade/inside.

Any considerations I've missed? Any one done similar at similar ages and loved or regretted it?

It's our last chance to go outside of school hols and with cheaper space for youngest.

Basically, in my hidden reply (wtf) I said go for it, whether you choose Mexico or Florida.

You can buy melato in either place for yourselves and the children to help with jetlag, especially on the return leg.

Pack light. Buy an extra seat both ways to allow you to spread out.

Avoid Muscat and the eastern Med (current events).

We've just got back from the Dominican Republic with our 22 month old DD. It was wonderful. The time difference is 4 hours (which wasn't too bad, though DD did wake around 5am for a lot of the holiday, but we just went to bed early). The flights were fine - she had a nice time on the way out and slept the entire night flight home. The resort was fabulous, it was all inclusive, the food was great, the pools were great. I can definitely recommend it.

OP, take a look at the Dominican Republic AI resorts too.
