January City Breaks

I'm hoping for some ideas for January city break destinations please?

I'm looking at a break Friday to Sunday, 2 adults, we don't mind if it's cold but would ideally like to avoid high chances of rain.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking of perhaps Seville, Valencia, or classic Barcelona.

Or maybe go chilly with Vienna, Salzburg, Oslo?

DD went to Budapest last January and adored it. Yes it was chilly but dry and lots of places to stop off for warm drinks.
I’ve been in the Spring and it’s a beautiful place with lots to see and do.

@Fairyliz Budapest is absolutely beautiful. I was lucky enough to visit one year during one of their national holidays and got to watch the city fireworks display from a river boat 😍

We went to Seville at New Year just before COVID. We have done many European city breaks and Seville is probably my favourite. Lovely and warm, amazing city.
Went to Budapest in September, Vienna two weeks ago and we are off to Valencia in January.

Barcelona is lovely and although it may start feeling chilly in January, it won't be freezing cold. Plenty to see and do. Tourist crowds will be lower.
