Vueling airlines - do they allocate seats together?

Has anyone travelled with Vueling airlines and left the seat selection until you check in? Are they likely to allocate seating together? Obviously I know it's not guaranteed unless you pay for it, but I know, for example, Easyjet always puts you together without paying for it unless it's impossible whereas Ryanair always splits you up in order to force you to pay! I haven't travelled with Vueling before so nothing to judge it on?

Thanks in advance - and I'm well aware of the "if you want to be together you should pay" advice, I'm genuinely just asking for experiences of those who have travelled on Vueling and can give me their experience.

Travelling as a couple so not a huge issue but nice to know in advance.

We travelled with them last year, & we were seated together automatically. We thought we'd booked BA, but it was a code share.

I'd never use them again. Staff at the gate walked off without telling anyone that the flight was delayed. They refused to provide the food & drink that they were legally supposed to. The gate was then changed, & they tried to make people rush to the new gate.
Hope your experience is better than mine !
