HOLIDAY SOS

Meant to be going on holiday on Friday to Bulgaria for skiing. Just had a call from the agents to say there's not going to be any snow so they can refund us 😥

I'm SO disappointed.

Anyway, we're due to fly Friday 8th and fly home Monday 11th.

We have two kids who are staying with SIL and we really need this break.

So, hit me up with your best last min destinations for 2 adults, kid free. We don't mind where, it doesn't have to be skiing.

You can book lessons, buy the lift pass and hire skis in the resort - it doesn't take long and everyone speaks English. I can PM you if you want more detailed info.

@Dinoswearunderpants we were so looking forward to it but we really can't risk a just in case if we want to ski haha. All the lifts there are closed!

@Havanananana amazing thank you, my partner also spoke to a friend who was a ski rep many years ago but still has contacts. I've found a hotel with breakfast, found the bus that goes from airport to Zell am see etc as well and it's actually come in cheaper than the original holiday by about £250 so thank you so much for your help!

@febbabies2023 If you have not skied before, be sure to spend the £250 on ski lessons.

Zell am See is beautiful, both up on the mountain and around the lake. Crazy Daisy is a friendly restaurant and bar down by the lake (opposite the Grand Hotel) and there are plenty of other fun places around the main square.

Just a quick update - from Austria!

We made it, todays our last day and fly home tomorrow evening. Lots of fun even though skiing is HARD.

We didn't do lessons we thought we'd just wing it. My partners picked it up quite well haha. I have managed a run though!

But that's me done skiing, I'm tired. I need a holiday after this holiday!

Amazing!! What resort did you end up at?

@whyamiawakestill we went to Zell Am See in the end. It was absolutely stunning! Slopes probably not beginner / non ski friendly but it was a beautiful place, food was good. Would definitely come back when I've learnt to ski a bit better!

Zell is the best resort.. so glad you enjoyed it
