Is £28 for an extra leg room seat worth it?

Flying on a 4 hour flight. DP is 6ft 3. I'm only 5ft 7 so would be fine in a regular seat.

We can book extra legroom seats for an £28 each. So £56. You get a 35" legroom rather than 31".

Yes.

HundredMilesAnHour · 01/12/2023 22:01

For someone 6ft or over, absolutely yes!

Yes! DH is 6'4" and I always book exit or extra leg room seats. I like them too even though I'm a short arse.

theduchessofspork · 01/12/2023 22:05

For him yes.

DH is 6ft 4 with a 35' inside leg and managed perfectly fine on a Jet 2 flight to Lanzarote in an ordinary seat. If we'd been flying Ryannair though it would have been a different matter.

YES

Yes

I am only 5ft 3 and always book extra legroom (or preferably premium if available) more for the head space than the leg space as I get a bit claustrophobic. I try and get exit row seats so no one can recline their seat in front of me.
I don't care how much it costs, it's factored in to the overall budget.

Cornishclio · 01/12/2023 23:38

Yes we always go for extra leg room. DH is 6 foot 2 and I am just 5 foot 4 but having the extra space is so much more comfortable.

EasterIssland · 01/12/2023 23:41

I was going to say no until I saw his height. Yes definitely

andyourpointiswhat · 03/12/2023 06:52

That is pretty cheap for extra legroom and bearing in mind your DH’s height I would definitely do it.

littlefireseverywhere · 03/12/2023 06:59

Yes definitely

Simonjt · 03/12/2023 07:02

Yes, I’m only 6’1”, but in a standard seat my legs don’t fit, so I would have to put my legs into the space of the person next to me. Fine if you have one of your own children next to you, but otherwise you’re making someone else uncomfortable which isn’t acceptable.
