Holiday booking regrets!

Booked a week’s break in the sun. Decided to save money and get a ferry to the island after the long haul flight.

Now if I’d waited until black friday I could have flown directly to the island for less than what I paid for the flight then a ferry. I also now wish I’d booked 10 nights rather than 7 nights and can’t change it!

Who would you check this? Do yourself a favour and don't ruin any more holidays in future by looking at the new prices after you've already booked.

Although it’s annoying, view the ferry as part of the holiday experience. You would have missed out if you’d booked a flight directly to the island.

if it help put things in perspective, my teens haven’t been on holiday for 2 years and it’s looking like we won’t afford it again in 2024. Maybe 2025 will be a better year 🤔

Deffo never check prices after the fact!

For future reference, I don't think I've ever regretted paying for convenience. I have regretted economising though.

Can you not change it? Often just a fee to change things.

OP wasn't supposed to know that the flight prices would go down. I'm surprised that they did.
