Thinking of a trip to Berlin next summer and wondering if there is somewhere we could combine it with? Like a 2 centre holiday?!

Berlin isn’t really a great place for a family holiday unless kids are seriously into history, or older teens/young adults who can enjoy the nightlife. It’s fantastic as an adults only destination, especially if you are into music, art and nightlife. For a family holiday in Germany I would pick Munich, and combine with a few days in the Alps, or the Black Forest.

It depends what you’re looking for in a holiday….. City break? Hiking? Cultural? Relaxing? It also depends whether you plan on hiring a car or not.

I did Berlin and Krakow as one holiday. Flight to Berlin, short hop to Krakow, flight home from Poland.
