Overcharged by Emirates for booking

Hi, hoping someone could help. When I placed a booking with Emirates this evening I paid cash and miles, which reduced the payment by £500. I got a text from my bank asking if this was a genuine transaction, which I confirmed and the payment errored. This happened twice until the bank would go ahead.

When I checked the page all details were correct, however, once I received the confirmation the price with the miles was taken off and they’d charged full price.

I spoke with the online chat who could see the errors but after lots of back and forth they wouldn’t help. We then rang up who said they’d have to email the web team, however, they wouldn’t copy us in to the email and I don’t hold out much hope of hearing back. We asked either for a refund of the price difference or to waive a cancellation fee to rebook. Both said it’s not in their power to do.

Any advice how we can resolve this? My bank is closed but effectively I see it as a fraudulent transaction as it’s not the price I agreed. What would be the impact of reversing the charge and would they do it?
Any advice on how we can get further with Emirates and continue to dispute it?

Thanks.

Social media? Twitter and call them out. See if they come back to you that way.
