Christmas beach holiday - will prices drop?

I've been tracking the price of a week in either Tenerife or Egypt around 27th December. It was around £1300 - £1500pp when I started looking in September, now around £1100- £1300pp for the same hotels - Egypt especially is dropping regularly. Can anyone guess if they will keep getting cheaper the closer it gets? I'm not set on location as long as it's warm so happy to book very last minute if there's a bargain to be had!

If you’re not fussed on destination then you can probably get a bargain super last minute. The situation in Gaza is making some people wary of Egypt so that may drop.

Worth checking if there is any kind of Black Friday thing.. I don't travel to Egypt so not sure; but many other places are on sale as of the past few days

I've never fancied Egypt before either but a couple of people suggested it and the hotels do look nicer than the equivalent priced ones in the Canaries, and half the price of Cape Verde. If I can get a good deal I'll take a chance.

Have you tried looking at this website? I mainly use it for vouchers but they do have a holiday on here from 22nd Dec - 31 Dec... way cheaper. Not sure if you fancy looking anyway if it helps you save some money and stay in the sun 🌞
