Combining New York & Barbados

Thinking of a special trip for my partners 30th. We were thinking of doing 4 nights on Manhattan and then 7 nights in Barbados.

Has anyone done a similar combo?

Do Aruba instead of Barbados

I did Florida & Mexico, loved it!

What time of year? Bermuda is closer if the weather is right. Turks is also raved about

It works well but it depends what you want from the Caribbean. We liked Barbados as it's a great island to explore on your own. Rent a car for a day and go everywhere. We did two boat trips and horse riding.

It's not cheap, we found hotels quite small compared to the resort we went to St. Lucia or if they are bigger than they are very expensive.

If you want just a holiday for beach/watersport I think there are other islands better.

I can't remember the flight time but you may want to include one day for travelling alone and then 4 days for NY, so 12 days in total.
