Visa to India - have you travelled recently?

Hi.

Has anyone travelled to India recently?
What is the official way to apply for a 30-day tourist visa and what is the cost? I've found a website to apply for an e-visa (this is the website linked from ww.gov.uk so probably genuine, right?).

https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html

Has anyone used this? How long does it take to be processed?

DH and DD have a British passport, I have an EU passport.
Hope the rules are the same...

TIA for any advice.

Hi yes that is the correct website. My visa came back in 24 hours. It is a fairly lengthy process to fill it in, and I had trouble using it with Chrome so maybe try a different browser if you are encountering issues. Mine cost USD100 (business trip).

Yes, we are actually there now. We applied for e-visas and they came back within 24 hours. Bit of a faff to complete, and get the correct format for photo/passport, so the form took an hour or so for each of us. I think the cost was £24 for a 30 day tourist visa but I might be wrong.

Wow that's great - thanks. I'm glad India is doing e-visas again 👏
