Help with indentity confirmation!!! Passport application

I was required to get someone to fill out an identity confirmation form however had moved across the country to everyone who could complete it, so emailed the form to the person to fill it out and they printed it and completed it and emailed a scan back.
Does anyone know whether if I printed the scan and posted it that would be acceptable, or if the scan could be emailed to the passport office?
or whether the original completed form would have to be posted?

Need a passport to be the maid of honour at my friends abroad wedding and don’t want to do it wrong to delay the process which is long enough as is so help appreciated !!!

Hi, if you're in the UK, can't you do the application on line, then the person can confirm your identity on the online application? i did this recently.

It came back very quickly by the way. the process took less than a month.

yes!! That option was given but stupid me clicked to do it by post and you can't go back on that decision, I even spoke to an advisor and asked to do it online they said they couldn't, and even asked to cancel the application and redo it to do it online but they said I wouldn't be refunded the 90£

I think you're better off sending the original to be on the safe side.

Oh i didn't realise you couldn't change ☹️ I agree with the other poster, safer sending the original. Hope you get it sorted quickly. 🤞
