Looking for recommendations please for a weeks sun holiday for me, DH and DS10 at the beginning of April. Budget £2500 ish for the three of us. Would ideally be:

No more than approx 4 hours flight
Transfer no more than 1hr 30 mins
Walkable within 10- 15, minutes to a beach
All inclusive hotel with choice of pools or one large pool, children's activities, entertainment - enough to keep a 10 year old amused
Places to walk to ie a sea front, bars, marina or similar etc, just basically not a resort complex with nothing around.
Temperature mid 20s during the day

Any ideas of resorts and particular accommodation recommendations please?

Tenerife or other Canary Islands will fit the bill. Still quite fresh in the morning and evening but during the day warm. I actually got sunburn on an overcast day, it really is strong.

You need to check pools though, it still needs to be heated.

Cyprus could also work.

Thanks @reluctantbrit any particular resorts you'd recommend for either place?

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is gorgeous and will have hotels that fit the bill.
We always stay at the Princesa Yaiza (and will be going for the first week of easter hols) may be a little out of your price range if looking for all inclusive but there are other lovely hotels there- I would check the tripadvisor reviews to make sure of heated pool :)

We went to a H10 in Playa Blanca, nice hotel but I don't like the island very much.

We liked Tenerife but the hotel wouldn't fit your bill as it was a bit too isolated for us, we chose it based on the room layout more than the location to be honest.

Thanks all, some really good ideas to investigate here!
