Easyjet? Car seat??

Hi,

We're travelling with Easyjet to Cyprus in April with DS who will be 21 months. We have booked him a seat as can't handle him on my lap for four hours! Apparently Easyjet policy say we have to take a car seat for him to travel in. We have done this journey before with First Choice (booked him a seat) and didn't have this problem. I was going to have DS on my lap for take off and landing so don't see why we would need to take a seat?

Has anyone else had any experience with Easyjet with this kind of thing? If we turn up without carseat will they refuse to let us fly??

Just don't want to have to lug around (very heavy) seat before and after flight!

Thanks

yeh not worth the risk...my mum was on a EJ flight last week and they kicked off a 28 weeks pregnant lady. they had flown her from france to england 3 days before( still 28 weeks) and she couldn't get home (she was french)

why do they say you need a car seat? What if you didn't have one? - surely if it's needed they have to provide it?

Apparently it's their safety policy. Though I don't see how it would be safe as you wouldn't be able to secure it as you would in a car!!

I also think it's not worth the risk, have heard bad things about EJ and think they would prob just tell us to F off!! I did think about asking what would happen if we didn't have one.....
