Abroad holiday suggestions for parents , young couple and 3 year old

Hi, we are hoping to go away with my parents abroad. Husband is set on Greece but I think it may be too hot in August (we have to go then) we went to Portugal last year in August and our son coped well and it didn't seem to bother him but I think Greece (Kefalonia)can be a lot hotter?
Any advice and suggestions welcomed ...as a couple can't really afford more than £1600 or in that region....self catered. Thank you

Maybe the balearics? I really like Menorca and Cala Galdana is a good base. You could maybe get a villa between you, although some of the villas can be in the hills. Xx

Also maybe Halkidiki would be a little less hot if he wants Greece?

Would always recommend lanzarote as its got the perfect appeal for all ages.. apart from clubbers! Its laid back, friendly and very family oriented.

Yes, some really cheap places round there. Especially if you rent more in the hills.

Consider if renting a car might work too.

My sister flew to Barcelona last August, but stayed an hour north for much less. Weather was nice and they had a great time
