If anyone can help recommend anywhere like this I would be so grateful. I don't mind so much what country we go to, but am just looking for somewhere fairly peaceful, and with outdoor space for the DC to run around and meet other kids. My DC are 9 and 6 and the 9 year old in particular doesn't just want to be stuck with us on holiday anymore. But equally we aren't keen on holiday parks/resorts that are busy. We also like freedom to take our car or hire one so that we can have little day trips out. I'm not sure what fits - maybe a cottage complex with shared outdoor space, or a really nice glamping site. When I look at holidays in Europe, it feels difficult to find something like I'm describing, which might be because it's not quite mainstream.
