Tromsø

Off to Tromsø in February for a few nights, does anyone have recommendations for tours (would love to see the Aurora Borealis and see some huskies but open to other things too)?
Would also be happy to have some restaurant recommendations and hints on what to pack - got baselayers and a buff ordered, will wear my parka and hiking boots. I've been to parts of Europe when it was around -20 degrees and don't think it will be as cold as that.
What about a good thick moisturiser for my face in the cold too?

Huskies, definitely! It is brilliant fun. There is a centre just outside Tromso.

It wasn't as cold as I anticipated either. The coastal towns do not get such cold temperatures as inland.

Thanks @Shadowsindarkplaces are there any other specifics you'd recommend?

Not sure what to wear on my legs, would long johns and hiking trousers be ok or would I need ski trousers? I mean to go out looking for the aurora or mushing the huskies, I guess just for wandering around the city tights and jeans or whatever would be ok as it gets to those sorts of temps at times here at home.

Unless it’s changed since I was there a few years back, do get those pull-on spike things for your shoes. They didn’t clear the pavements and it was very slippery without.

There a trip you can book through the tourist information centre, where you get a bus out of the city and the get onto the Hurtigruten and sail back to Tronsø, which I enjoyed. We also did an evening minibus trip out to see the northern lights, booked through the tourist info again. That was quite cold, but generally it wasn't as bitterly cold as it was in Oslo. We went in December and was expecting it to be dark all the time, but there was a kind of half daylight in the middle of the day.

I went on a cruise with day trips, yes to the shoe spikes. Clothing, to be honest, no different to a cold day here.

Polaria is well worth a visit. We also attended a service in the the Arctic Cathedral which was magical.
There is a beautiful cafe called "Selfie" with great cakes and coffee.
