Advice on package holidays

We don't usually go on them - normally book everything ourselves and pre-dd would try to go somewhere quiet/bit of culture etc. Would like to go somewhere warm somewhere in the Med early Sept and wondered if we should just go on a package somewhere, where there will be other kids and things to do. Not really looking for a creche but stuff to keep dd (who will be 2 happy. Not sure which would be a good company to go with. Any ideas? Wouldn't want it to be too busy though.

I'm not keen on package holidays as you can usually get them cheaper by booking direct. We went here last year with DDs (4 and 2). We booked through cosmos in 2 bed apartment (extremely spacious) for 2 weeks and it cost about £2,400. This year we're going back to the same accommodation but for 10 nights. We've booked with holiday nights (i think) and flights through easyjet and its cost £1,000 in august. Massive difference in price. Its quite quiet but quite a lot of restaurants nearby, a couple have mini playgrounds (not tacky) with them. Beach is about mile away but there is a bus and its a really good beach. Quite a lot of steps, but lovely.
