Inexpensive new year break away for me and two kids (14 and 9)

Not a fan of the Christmas/New year period, never have been. Harder now I have a teen that wants a constant party and is 100% sure that’s what her friends are doing for the whole period.

This year I’d like to go away and a) escape and b) give us all something interesting to do.

Any tips gratefully received (we’re based in London).

been looking at Amsterdam, Venice, Edinburgh, Bournemouth and Brighton.

That is the issue! Would be me and 3 kids, hoping for max £700. Bournemouth and Brighton are easy travels for us but need a real event focus - found cheap flights on the others just taking a rucksack each.

I found good value Edinburgh flights (just a rucksack each!) so we are doing that!
