Cheapest place in Europe for large quality villa with pool

[Gloriously]

Would like to take family away (not restricted to school holidays) to a villa sleeping 8 with a pool. Quite happy for it to be relatively remote /rural rather than in a resort - but would like it to be well appointed in spacious private grounds - nice walks nearby / one or two local restaurants - not interested in sight seeing.

Any idea which country / area (short haul) I should start researching?

Tenerife - there are some amazing villas on Airbnb around the La Orotava/Santa Ursula areas which are incredibly good value for money. It's quite hilly so most have stunning views of the coast and Mount Teide.

Croatia - we've stayed in a few villas with pools and they all had modern style,good air con etc. Could be quite remote but lovely countryside, very warm weather and beautiful clear water. No real beaches tho

We had a lovely villa in southern spain last year. It was lovely but it was so hot that I’m not sure we’d visit again at that time of year.

We went for Christmas which is probably one of the dearest times of the year. The good thing about Tenerife is the weather is good all year around. It was low 20's every day when we were there. I'd imagine that as with most places the shoulder seasons are the cheapest times to go and avoiding school holidays obviously!

Playa Blanca Lanzarote has an abundance of affordable villas in all areas.

Due to the large supply it means prices are competitive. If you look on Playa Blanca Facebook it lists all the reliable villa rental companies.

Turkey

Are booking.com or Air BnB the easiest way to search?

Turkey is a good shout - love the food .... but is there any chance of getting a cheap flight (as I will be picking up that cost as well x 8).

HAve a look at Pegasus - Turkey's ryanair. They have very cheap flights
I live here and go away at least once a month. I always use Airbnb.

Try Bulgaria or Turkey.

Thanks that’s a great tip @professionalnomad - any areas you would recommend? Car drive to coast preferably....really like underdeveloped low key places.

Croatia is absolutely beautiful, as os Slovenia.
