Things to do in Cologne?

Hiya ladies, we’re going off to Cologne in a few weeks mainly to explore the Christmas markets. Just wondering what else there is to do that people would recommend in Cologne? Is it easy to travel round the city? Is it expensive?

We are staying near the cathedral and the main train station.

It’s very easy to travel around. The tube/ tram system is excellent. Although central cologne is fairly compact so you can just walk between most of the Christmas markets.

Climb the cathedral, visit the Chocolate museum and take an after-dark boat cruise. If you’re interested in art, the Ludwig museum is great. We also enjoyed the Fragrance museum.

Don't forget to go to the 4711 shop and stick your hands under the cologne tap!
