taking DM away for her 70th - Dublin or Lille?

in September, should we go to Dublin by air or Lille by Eurostar?
DM will be 70 and not the sprightliest of grandmas, bless her.
Dsis and i can't decide.
Any thoughts please? ta muchly

oh Lille i think
Dublin is so crowded and trinity students will just be coming back to uni in Sept .it will be hectic.not an easy city for the more mature.

Lille sounds nice. Could you splurge on first calss? Train journeys also far more relaxing than flights (esp Ryanair)

Lille it is then - thnk you. I was leaning towards Lille selfishly as I have never been on the Eurostar but now I can justify the choice with the tales of returning Uni students
