Rhodes late October

just back from the most amazing week in Rhodes. We stayed in Pefkos which, in the last few days, was definitely closing down for the season. We’re planning for next year, when half term falls a week later, and wondering if it is the same across the island. Any experiences of Rhodes in late October / early November?

It will be much more quiet at that time and the weather will be noticeably cooler though usable. We went mid October a few years ago to Rhodes Town, not warm enough to swim in the sea of use a pool, though pleasant enough to take in the sites. Though I would say that a lot will be closed so would recommend early October.

I’m currently in Turkey it’s our half term this week (as in kids go back on 6th Nov) I think a lot is closing at the end of this week, but it’s fine at the moment. Weather great, sea warm.

Thanks both. It sounds like we were very lucky this year then. The weather was glorious and warm enough for sea and pool.

I don’t think so - I’ve been to Turkey before at half term and this year was cooler if anything although the sea was very warm. I’ve also been to Cyprus and it was hot there too.

Maybe the pp is someone who won’t swim in the sea if the outside temp is below 30.

I can see Rhodes from where I’m sitting now it can’t be that different.

My understanding is that they close down after the UK half term (definitely true of Rhodes and Crete, couldn't say about other parts of Greece)

I was there beginning of October. The resort was closing this week.
It was 27 degrees during the day when we were there, and the sea was a perfect temperature so I suspect it would still be temperate now, just depends on storms. Not sure how many tourist restaurants would be open - it was very quiet in our nearest village
