We land quite late at night and I am considering booking front row EJ seats to be first off the plane and hopefully on our way quickly. I wonder though if planes come straight in at the terminal or, if it’s one of these airports where you get off the plane and then need to wait for a bus to fill up before you’re driven over to the terminal? Thanks.

When I've been we've always been transported by bus from the plane to the terminal.

We flew in with easyjet in the summer and got on a bus from the plane. Unsure what other airlines do.

Thanks. No point in booking up front seats then if we’ve got to wait on the flight coming off and getting on the bus. I appreciate the help.

The bus didn't accommodate the whole plane at once. We (in the middle) waited for it to drop off and come back!

Bus from the plane but there are plenty of night buses etc right outside the terminal building

You'll have to wait at passport control and wait for your luggage so I don't see any point in rushing to be first off the plane.

Where does she say anything about luggage? Front of the queue at passport control is also better than the back.

We are hand luggage only so thankfully don’t need to wait for cases to come off. Our flight lands at 23.00. I was hoping to be in the hotel by the 12.30 am.

We also had buses to and from the terminal when we went earlier this month. For what it's worth, if you have the types of passport you can scan and no kids under 14, passport control was really fast. We landed quite late too. Only trouble we had was getting a taxi that late - we took the bus instead as the queue for cabs was massive.

Thanks. Planning on the bus and pre-booking it if it’s an open ticket rather than a booked seat on a specific bus. All to be looked it.

We were one of first off plane and through the passport control. However my luggage was actually the very last of the plane. Probably because I got to check-in early.

The ticket offices are by the doors as you head out of the terminal building and it's around a euro or €1.50 one way. Don't buy the 24/48 hour pass at this point as it begins as soon as you activate it the first time.

Scan ticket on the machine halfway down the bus. Job done. No need for pre booking etc.
