Flying Bonn - London Gatwick

Can anyone share what the best way is to fly from Bonn (or nearby) to Gatwick (or other London airport)? Easyjet don't service Bonn or Cologne, and we don't have hundreds of pounds to spend on a flight that isn't even a direct connection. Can you share any knowledge on how best to do it?

Look like Lufthansa flies that route.

is the train an option?
train to brussels and then the eurostar.

Eurowings fly from Heathrow to both Cologne and Dusseldorf.

As I understand it from this Sunday, 30th Oct (i.e. start of the winter schedules) BA are reinstating their Cologne Bonn - Heathrow services.

Haven't checked in detail but it looks like one or two flights a day.

Hi, Sorry! I replied yesterday, but it's not showing up!
Lufthansa is too pricey. I've found the Eurowing connection. Heathrow is quite a palaver to get home from, and so is Stansted. We're looking into trains now. We're all driving there, we just need a way of getting DH back home if the kids and I want to stay in Germany for longer.
Thank you for your suggestions!

Skyscanner gives you all the options (from Cologne).

Ryanair fly to Stansted for as little as €17 - which at that price (compared with €96 for BA) I might be tempted to put up with a bit of "palaver" at the London end of the journey.

Thanks for the tip!
