We are in Manchester and will need to go by bus or train really.

Its next week so might not be the best of weather, so somewhere you can go 'inside' if it rains maybe?

The kids are almost 2 & 3.

We dont really want to do a museum as they get bored quickly there.

Something a bit funner?

Thankies!

is eureka too far?

ruksak · 09/03/2008 09:20

train stops outside btw

ruksak · 09/03/2008 09:21

Eureka! is located next to Halifax Railway Station which is served by regular trains from Leeds and Manchester. Steps located to the left as you exit the station lead directly to Eureka!. Alternative access is a 600m walk: turn right at the end of the road and follow signs to the car park.

For train times call National Rail Enquires on 08457 48 49 50 or visit their website at www.nationalrail.co.uk.

i second eureka....it's really fun for the kids, you'll probab ly learn something yourself...it's suitabe for all ages (i think) they do have eating facilities

PABLOP · 09/03/2008 09:54

Eureka is great although its a long time since I went, there is a cafe inside but it is so close to the city centre that you will find loads of eating places there too.

Crocky · 09/03/2008 11:30

I took my 7yo and 3yo to Eureka last year and they loved it. It is in need of a bit of an overhaul in some places but that didn't bother the kids.
We took a picnic though. Have to say, as we walked through the cafe the food did look a bit ropey.

Crocky · 09/03/2008 11:31

It was geared much more towards the 3yo than the 7yo I felt.
