Does anyone know if you can use Bluetooth headphones on planes? We are travelling it with TUI and can't seem to find a definite answer by Googling.

Yes you can. On all airlines.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you be able to?

Last Tui flight I was on we were told you can't use Bluetooth during take off landing and taxiing, but it's fine the rest of the time.

Presumably, because Bluetooth is a radio transmission and might affect the systems on the plane.

The same reason mobile phones have to be turned off.

Yes I always use mine from minute we sit down until we land. They obviously don’t work on the on-board screens though so bring the wire if you want to connect

You can buy a Bluetooth transmitter to connect your headphones to the in flight entertainment. So convenient!
