ALGARVE RESORTS

[ALSYPOPS]

Looking at The Algarve next July for family of four includes two teenagers.
Never been before, looking at recommendations please.
Going to rent a Villa need suggestions on where to stay. Not really beach people but would want to be near the sea, love going out in the evenings for a nice meal and find some entertainment.

Carvoiero is a lovely town and has a good waterpark nearby if that would interest your teens.

We loved Carvoiero too! There's usually some sort of entertainment near the beach some nights, loads of restaurants and the cocktails are quite cheap!

I looked at Carvoiero as well and like the look of it. Any tips on Villa rentals in that area please

We are going to Carvoeiro for the first time next July, having stayed in both Lagos and Alvor previously.

I booked a villa through Simply Owners. There was also a good selection through Affinity Villas.

Tavira is also lovely

We’ve spent three lovely Easters in the Algarve in recent years. Lagos is a fab place to be based near (no further west I would say as it gets a bit wilder although lovely to visit with a car) lovely town with lots going on. Or Carvoeiro is a great place to be in/near - cute town and very central for visiting the rest of the Algarve.

Not a villa but we stayed at Monte Santo in Carvoeiro- they have lovely townhouses. It’s a lovely complex with a huge shared pool.
Not too busy when we were there. Many or the properties are owned but some are set aside for holiday makers.

if you have teenagers go to Slide and Splash (water park). Great fun for all.

We stayed in Alvor a few years ago . Older teens but DS and his GF both enjoyed it in respect of evening entertainment. DH and I visited Lagos which was a bit larger, I would consider staying there another time .
